We’ve been taught the importance of getting good grades from a very early age, and much hasn’t changed in college but, if every graduating student is getting a degree, then is getting good grades really that important well, the the answer is pretty obvious: getting good grades is very important. The long and the short of it is that grades are important if you are early in your high school career, great, get studying if you are a senior ready to begin looking for colleges to apply to and your grades haven’t been stellar, get studying.
However, the most engaging classes are just thatengaging, regardless of grades or no grades yet, letter grades have limitations, and for that reason, a growing number of schools are supplementing or replacing grades on report cards and transcripts with other types of documentation. In reality, my good grades were a reflection of me being a good test taker, not a good student certainly not an engaged learner and i’ve felt guilty about that a long, long time.
Grades are the most used instrument for judging a personbut i am telling you it is important if u want to get into a good college or land in a good job it is used my most people to estimate your hardworking and your passion. The most important purpose for grades is to provide information or feedback to students and parents the best referencing system for grading is content-specific learning goals: a criterion-referenced approach.
